What’s Going On With The Daily Wire?
There’s been a lot of speculation in the recent days about the state of the Daily Wire. Axios earlier this month reported that Jeremy Boreing was stepping down as the company CEO although he was remaining with the company in a new role. Yesterday a post on X went viral claiming the Daily Wire is preparing for bankruptcy.

Now it’s not clear this source is reliable. In fact, looking at this person’s X profile you should definitely take it with a grain of salt, but that’s not only piece of evidence that the Daily Wire may be in trouble.
Kevin McCreary worked as the lead editor in the Daily Wire Kids department, and he claimed in a now deleted post on X that the entire staff in the kids department has been fired. “The Daily Wire just laid off its entire kids department including myself,” McCreary said in the now deleted post. “So….I’m free to work, if you got anything for me.” Again maybe nothing, but a bit strange.
The Daily Wire has tried to maintain a young audience, even when younger conservatives have become much more populous and anti-establishment than many of the current host on the Daily Wire. So there’s always been some friction there. It may have been what led to the departures of several former Daily Wire hosts like Candace Owens and Brett Cooper.
It should be noted though that the flagship show of The Daily Wire “The Ben Shapiro Show” still appears to be quite popular. Also Matt Walsh’s documentary “Am I Racist” did very well at the box office, scoring 12 million at the domestic box office, making it the most successful documentary of 2024.
