SAD! Failed Democratic Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris Still Viewed As Party Leader
If you needed anymore evidence the Democrat party is still struggling to find its way after its 2024 election defeat, the new poll from DATA FOR PROGRESS will certainly leave no doubt.
When Democrat voters were asked who they viewed to be the parties current leader, failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris had the number one spot. Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama came in a close 2nd.
While it’s not uncommon for former presidential party nominees to be seen as a leader in the party, the fact that a plurality of Democrats still view her as the leader of the party is bit surprising considering how she was so easily defeated, losing all 7 swing states this past November.
To be fair to the failed presidential candidate and former VP, most of the other names on the list are not that impressive, so perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising Harris got the top spot. Hell, 83 year old Bernie Sanders made the top 6. That might even be sadder!
